Thanks for sharing this article. A "diet" is really a tactic to reach a "goal" (lose weight) - both have a start and a finish, meaning they are time bound.
When we don't reach our goal within the time we've alloted we feel we have failed.
However the real objective is life-long healthy weight. Take the long road:
Eat enough nutritious calories to support a healthy weight according to one's BMI
Increase exercise/activity to 30-60 minutes most days
Over the course of time you will reach a healthy weight and sustain a healthy weight.
Took me over a year - and I've sustained for 30 years - experience is a good teacher:)
